Why Bell Lane Primary School?

Mealtime Supervisor 

Contracted Hours: 10hrs a week, term time only

We have an opportunity to join the school lunchtime supervisor team responsible for the supervision and of pupils during the midday break. As part of a team of Lunchtime Supervisors, to be responsible for the supervision of pupils during the midday break. Duties may include responsibility for the orderly conduct of pupils taking the school meal and/or that of pupils in and around the school buildings during the midday break.

Main activities and responsibities:

  1. Supervision and ensuring the safety of pupils during the midday break, about the school premises, and in play areas.
  2. Deal with incidents of unsafe or unruly behaviour and refer matters to a member of the Senior Leadership Team when necessary.
  3. The independent supervision of corridors in the school; implementation of school rules about appropriate classroom and corridor behaviour.
  4. To work in a way that promotes the school's equal opportunities policy.
  5. Any other duties may be determined as necessary and within the competence of the postholder.

This vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for a successful mealtime supervisor to work in a school which is committed to quiet but firm management of young people through good communication skills and has the ability to work independently and as a member of a team demonstrating a willingness to learn and to implement school rules concernign lunchtime behaviour.

Appointments are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Pay will be based on experience and in line with the Unified Reward.
