Additional Needs Support Assistant

We are looking for a full time, skilled and experienced teacher to join the team working with pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities including those on the autism spectrum. The start date for this position is Monday 3rd June 2024.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work within classrooms with high staff to; plan, deliver, adapt and evidence high quality learning opportunities in line with the school’s curriculum. 
  • To promote a love of learning for our children and to enable them to make good progress towards their EHCP outcomes and individual Learning Intentions. 
  • Develop innovative and forward thinking approaches to learning and communication tools to maximise pupil potential and learning opportunities. 
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with pupil needs and outcomes at the core. 
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils at all times.
  • To model best practice approaches and support staff through challenging episodes with children. 

This vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for a successful support assistant to work in a school which is committed to inclusion, achievement and high standards of behaviour with a team of highly committed professional staff who are determined to get the best from our children.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Pay will be based on experience and in line with the Unified Reward.
